The Middle MAX™ Menace Arm from Matthews Studio Equipment offers unparalleled booming capabilities, based on the same principles as the original Academy Technical Award-winning MAX Menace Arm®. Middle MAX has a payload capacity of 150 lbs / 68 kg (80 lbs / 36 kg when fully extended) and can reach a maximum height of 18 ft / 5.49 m, or lower to 6 ft / 1.83 m below grade, to support lights, reflectors, cameras, and set dressing. Built to accommodate the rise of smaller production vehicles among image makers, it travels fully assembled inside a standard cargo van.
Matthews Studio Equipment expands its lineup with Grip Rail™, a telescoping, rugged aluminium lightweight grid pipe system. Multipurpose Grip Rail is a no-cutting alternative to imprecise and bulky pipe organs and other rail systems. Designed to work with off-the-shelf grip hardware, including popular grid clamps, Matthellinis, and standard pipe fittings, the system can secure up to 60 lbs / 27.2 kg horizontally (when properly supported at two ends) and 120 lbs / 54.4 kg in the vertical position.
