PAG is the UK-based, designer and manufacturer of innovative, high-end camera power solutions for digital cinematography, TV production and broadcast acquisition. The company provides the industry’s most advanced battery technology in the form of Mini PAGlink, a unique system of intelligent linking batteries. Mini PAGlink is the only system that allows up to 10 linked batteries to be charged or discharged, regardless of capacity or state-of-charge. Mini PAGlink offers compact batteries in 50Wh and 99Wh capacities, available in V-Mount and Gold Mount formats. They feature outputs that users can configure with connectors of their choice. You can reduce the weight of your handheld camera set-up by using individual batteries, or increase power and run-time by linking 2 or more batteries, when your set-up is tripod mounted.
On show at BSC Expo 2023 for the first time will be the new MPL150V battery and the MPL USB-C Adaptor. The MPL150V is a 14.8V 150Wh V-Mount linking battery that is extremely versatile when it comes to powering your production kit. No other battery boasts as many output and input options. It has a USB-C output for 5V, 9V and 12V accessories, which can be used to power your laptop. There is also a built-in USB-A output (5V 2.4A). These are in addition to a standard 12V D-Tap output, and PAG’s unique USB-A (5V 2A) output module, which can be swapped for other module types: Hirose, Lemo or D-Tap. Other features include two inputs: a USB-C which enables you to charge the battery using a PD charger; and a 2.1-2.5mm DC input.
The MPL USB-C Adaptor is designed for use with 99Wh and 50Wh Mini PAGlink batteries. It offers a USB-C output for powering your MacBook Pro, and a USB-A output for your phone. The new USB-C adaptor plugs into the D-Tap output situated on-top of any MPL battery and enables a total of 95W to be drawn. The USB-C PD type output allows a draw of up to 65W and can be used to power 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V or 20V devices. In addition, the ‘Quick-Charge’ USB-C and USB-A outputs provide up to 30W in total for powering 5V, 9V and 12V devices.
PAG will be joined at the show by its European distributor Aspectra, who will be showing examples of CamGear fluid heads and tripod systems, and TV Logic monitors.
